We began with the overall design theme of bees & magnolias.

I knew that I wanted to create some little tiny bees flying around the save the date as well as the invitation. The brass bees shown below were applied to the dinner menus at the reception to make the bees come full circle. The magnolias were drawn from reference photos taken of magnolias here in Columbia, SC. We have the luxury of wonderful magnolia trees in the Spring & Summer, which was perfect for designing this suite! All the details of the invitations were carried through to their day-of stationery with little bee, magnolia & golf details everywhere. Alex is very into golf & The Masters, so for the table numbers we designated a different plant or flower to each, representing different holes on the golf course. For the color palette, we wanted to keep it bright & fun, but still bridal & fall feeling. I think we accomplished that!
